The 5'nizza collective has recently been listened to from all the media (translated “PYAT-ni-tsa” - into Russian / Ukrainian as “Friday”) - an acoustic musical duet from Kharkov, Ukraine, consisting of Sergey Babkin (Sergey Babkin) ( guitar) and Andrey Zaporozhets (SunSay) (vocals). Their music is a combination of soul, hip-hop and reggae, performed mainly by acoustic guitar, sung or rap vocals and human beatbok. 5'nizza concerts of which are increasingly taking place in various cities of our country, formed in 2000, released two official albums and disbanded in 2007, with both participants embarking on a solo career.
Sergey Babkin and Andrey Zaporozhets met in 1995. Despite the fact that Zaporozhets was inspired by emotional rhythms and hip-hop, and Babkin followed rock music trends, they found a common language, and by 2000 they began to write songs together. Their first album, Unplugged, was recorded in 2002 for just $ 30, without overdubs, and quickly spread by word of mouth. The album was officially released in 2003 under the name "Friday" ("Friday"). The song "Soldier" ("Soldier") became a hit after the broadcast, and 5'nizza quickly rose to popularity in Ukraine, Russia and other Russian-speaking countries. In 2005 their long-awaited second album “O5” was released (pronounced “o-PYAT” - Russian for “Again”). This time, the 5'nizza group offered their songs in a much more complex studio treatment, while at the same time following the same guitar / vocals / beatbox formula (although with a random electric guitar and Rhodes piano). The group of the 5'nizza group whose albums were much less popular than before, but 5'Nizza continued their active tour and worked on their side projects. When Zaporozhets and Babkin started writing their third album, they found that they could not follow the acoustic musical formula and decided to stop 5'Nizza, focusing on their own projects: Babkin continued his solo career, and Zaporozhets formed SunSay,
Babkin and Zaporozhets reunited to conduct several concerts in 2015.
